We hadn't really thought about moving until out of the blue I was offered one of those jobs that you just can't turn down. It meant moving to a different part of the country but with the children away at university, we were not really tied to the village we lived in over in the east of England so with just the two of use to consider, off we went looking to buy a home in a new part of the country. The choice was considerable but instead of a home on an estate, we started looking at individual homes with a bit of character.
